Chair: TALL Conference Planning Committee

Save the Date October 25, 2018

The TALL Conference Planning Committee is once again pleased to announce the next TALL one day conference:  TALL eXchange 2K18. On Thursday, October 25, 2018, members of TALL, other library associations, and other information professionals are invited to join the one day conference being held at Vantage Venues (formerly the St. Andrew’s Club & Conference Centre, the location of the conference in 2016).

The theme of this year’s conference will focus on Innovation, and how technological innovation touches upon all aspects of what we do as information professionals. From reference work and legal research, to outsourcing, collection management and instruction, this conference will act as an exchange of the latest developments and best practices that will educate and benefit all of us.

As in the first conference, eXchange 2018 will be a full day of programming targeting downtown business, legal and government librarian/researcher and technician needs including concurrent sessions to try and maximize your learning opportunities.

The TALL Community is invited to join TALL eXchange 2018 by participating in one or both of the following formats:

Session: Develop and present a 40-50 minute session on topics relevant to (but by no means limited to) collection development, reference and research, current awareness, instruction, leadership, and other relevant developments in the innovation realm.

Lightning Talk: In 10 minutes or less, tell conference attendees about the interesting or unique initiatives going on in your library or information centre.

A formal call for proposals message will be forthcoming in the coming weeks.

Join us for a day of learning, outstanding and informative sessions, and socializing with colleagues. As in the past conference, there will be a pub night following the conference.

Please direct any questions to Erik Brea: erik.brea@gmail.com

Best,

Erik
